HEY YALL!
I’m so glad you’re here to join me on this journey toward biblical womanhood. It’s been a wild ride, full of lessons and blessings, and I want to share it with you all.
Back in 2014, I felt a powerful call to let go of my own plans and truly surrender to God’s guidance. It wasn’t a forced thing; it was just the right moment for me. God has a way of calling us when we’re ready, and Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV) really sums it up: "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." Before that, I wasn’t ready to dive into my faith, but once I was, everything changed.
My brother introduced me to parts of the Bible that shook me to my core. I realized I was living a life that wasn’t pleasing to the Lord, and it hit me hard. It’s one thing to know about faith, but another to truly understand it and let it transform you. When you start digging into the commandments, you begin to see how they guide you in every area of life. Honestly, what’s it gonna hurt to keep them? Nothing! But if you ignore them and God turns out to be real, you risk losing everything.
One of the biggest surprises for me on this journey has been my love for cooking. I mean, before I understood my role according to the Bible, I didn’t even know how to boil water! But once I realized that part of my duty was to feed my family, I jumped in and started learning. Now I whip up everything from scratch—bread included! There’s something so satisfying about seeing my husband and daughter enjoy the meals I prepare with love.
Cooking has become my way of serving them, and it feels sacred in its own right.
Speaking of my husband, we met at church and courted for almost three years. During that time, we became the best of friends, and I truly cherish that foundation. We’ve had our share of highs and lows, but almost two years after tying the knot, we welcomed our beautiful baby girl. Through it all, he’s been my rock and my best friend. I can’t wait to see how we continue to grow together as a family.
I’m so excited to grow with all of you as well! On this blog, you can expect to find simple, delicious recipes, posts about faith and family, and daily devotionals that will hopefully inspire you. My hope is that you’ll find a little piece of home here, a place to feel supported and uplifted on your own journey.
Thanks for hanging out with me and letting me share my story. I hope my experiences encourage you to trust in God’s timing and seek a deeper walk with Him. Let’s embrace the beauty of striving, learning, and growing together. Here’s to our journeys—may they be filled with faith, love, and the grace to become who God has called us to be!
